Wine of the Week | Albariño de Fefiñanes 2008 [White] Fefiñanes Albariño seems to just get better, vintage after vintage. 2008 was not an easy year for the region, but this Fefiñanes is simply superb. A great white wine and a perfect match for fish and (especially) shellfish. Excellent. A nice clean, bright golden straw color. A classic Albariño nose with citrus (lime), ripe fruit (apricot/pear) and a lovely flowery scent. On the palate it's fresh and crisp, yet rich and full of flavor (apricot/lime) with terrific length. An excellent example of Albariño in all its delicious glory. [$M] |
