Wine of the Week | Coma Vella 2006 [Red] This hearty red from trendy Priorat is a reliable performer, vintage after vintage. It's not cheap, but is modestly priced for the region and may well be one of Priorat's best values for the money. Should go well with roast beef or game. Deep dark cherry red color. A nicely balanced nose with good intensity. The up front wood/toasty aromas do not overshadow the excellent, ripe dark berry fruit. On the palate it's got plenty of body, fresh, well structured and fruit driven; good balance and a very long finish. Excellent. [$H] |
