Wine of the Week | P.G. Fino NV [Fortified] It's been a while since a "fino" has appeared on the tasting table. This is an excellent example of a fino-style wine from the Montilla-Moriles denomination in the province of Córdoba. A pleasure to drink chilled on its own, with shellfish or even spicy asian fare.
Clean pale straw color with an intriguing "sherry" nose: flowery & nutty, showing the classic "flor" aromas of the fino biological ageing process. On the palate it's crisp, fresh and delightfully complex, with a long, pleasantly bitterish finish. [$L] |
