Wine of the Week | Tres Ojos Rosado 2006 [Rosé] Made from a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes, this tasty fruity rosé would be a good choice for summer dining: barbecues, picnics or with a snack on the patio. It's got plenty of flavor and a good dose of alcohol, so it's best served well chilled and with food. A nice bright medium pink color. Red berry fruit aromas (strawberry & raspberry) dominate the nose, along with scents of orange peel, mint and a hint of dry herbs. The palate is rich and full of fruit flavor: cranberry, strawberry & raspberry. Heady, flavorful and very good. [$L] |
