Wine of the Week | Múrice Crianza 1998 [Red] Organically grown and produced, Múrice is made from the traditional Rioja blend of Tempranillo, Mazuelo (Carignan), and Graciano. A refreshing mix of traditional Rioja style with a modern flair and just the thing for today's wine fancier; Múrice is great on its own and works well with a wide range of dishes from poultry to casseroles, stews and roasts. Dark ruby/garnate color. The nose is classic Rioja with red/black berry fruit, vanilla/spice with a hint of licorice. A palate of medium body shows ripe rich plummy fruit with a touch of spice and oak, good balance and excellent length. Very good. [$M] |
