Wine of the Week | Razón 2004 [Red] Vino de mesa (table wine) rules severely limit label information, but this wine made from 100% old vine Garnacha grapes belies its humble status. The grapes extra hang time, along with 6 months in oak, give the wine great weight, richness and complexity. Great wine, better value. Dark cherry red color with a touch of purple. Rich ripe berry jam aromas with licorice and a touch of spice. Full bodied with lots of ripe fruit on the palate. Smooth, long and sweet on the finish. Very good. [$L] |
