Wine of the Week | Tres Ojos Garnacha 2004 [Red] This unoaked red from Calatayud is a pleasure to drink and great value. Made at the San Gregorio co-op from old vines Garnacha plantings in the higher elevations of Calatayud. Perfect for a summer (or fall) barbecue. Bright cherry red color. The nose shows loads of ripe red berry fruit and a bit of herbs/spice. The palate's rich and sweet with strawberry/cherry fruit and a nice peppery/spicy touch. Very good and a terrific value. [$L] |
