Wine of the Week | Les Terrasses 2001 [Red] This is the "basic" wine from Alvaro Palacios of L'Ermita fame. Made from mainly CariƱena and Garnacha, with a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon. Barrel aged in mainly French oak. A good value as far as Priorat is concerned. Good with red meat or burgers. Dark cherry red color. Nice nose with hints of toasty oak, ripe dark berry fruit and a bit of spice. Rich and elegant on the palate with well integrated oak, ripe fruit and good length. Very good. [$M] |
