 Wine of the Week | Casa Castillo Monastrell 2023 [Red] Primarily monastrell with a little garnacha in the mix. Organically grown on sandy/rocky soils in the La Valle vineyard. Nurtured for 8/9 months in neutral 500 liter French oak barrels and larger wooden vats. Earthy aromas (mushrooms), ripe plums & blackberries, sedge/marsh grass & a hint of leather.
