![]() Wine of the Week | Regente Palo Cortado NV [Fortified] 100% palomino fino, nurtured a relatively short time for Palo Cortado (about 15 years) in American oak sherry butts. Intense aromatics: Nutty (walnut/hazlenut), a touch of antique store beeswax/varnish and vanilla. Palo Cortados are to a certain degree "mystery wines" that don't quite fit to the usual parameters of amontillado or oloroso. These "off barrels" are set aside, the best become Palo Cortado.
