Wine of the Week | Montebuena 2021 [Red] 100% tempranillo, selected from small plots in the higher elevations of Rioja Alavesa. The fermented wine spends 3 to 4 months in mainly French oak barrels before resting in tanks for over a year before bottling. Nice dark color, spicy cherry/berry fruit aromas dominate with a hint of vanilla and licorice. [$L] |
