Wine of the Week | Robles Copeo Fino [Fortified] 100% pedro ximénez grapes, matured in "soleras" (large American oak "botas"). Fino style, grown under "flor" for about 2 years. Nutty/chalky aromas, typically fino. Dry and fresh with almonds, dried apricots, a hint of quince and a slightly chalky/mineral finish. The pedro ximénez grapes make for a dry wine, but not as bone dry as a palomino-based fino from Jerez. [$L] |
