Wine of the Week | Barķn de Oņa 1996 [Red] Torre de Oņa is an estate-style winery in Rioja Alavesa, owned since 1995 by La Rioja Alta. An interesting, tasty Rioja for an excellent vintage and with character and style. A wine with body that should work well with steak or roast beef. Dark cherry garnate color with a tint of brick along the edge. Nice nose with bramble berry fruit, mint and a touch of spicy leather. The palate's rich and tasty with cherry/berry fruit and a nice long finish. Very good. [$M] |
