This Rioja tempranillo is nurtured 12 months in American oak barrels, resting another 12 months in the bottle cellar before release. (DOCa Rioja requirements for a "crianza").

Dark red color with ample fruit (blackberry/blueberry), subtle barrel-spice notes (clove/cinnamon) and a hint of licorice.
Medium weight with nice balance, smooth tannins, berry fruit and decent persistence. A nice everyday Rioja, a solid value and great with food.
