Wine of the Week | Cune Crianza 2020 [Red] 85% tempranillo, 15% garnacha & mazuelo harvested in the Rioja Alta sub-region, September and early October. Nurtured 12 months in American oak barrels (average age 6 years). Cherry/blueberry/plum fruit, subtle spice (vanilla/clove) and background notes of toasted oak. Note: Seemed a little thin/tight at first, but opened up nicely after a few minutes in the glass. Good food wine. [$M] |
