Wine of the Week | Xanledo 2020 [Red] A blend of caiño longo (60%) with 40% brancellao & espadeiro grown on "sábrego" (decomposed granite) soils. Fermented in open topped 500 liter barrels, nurtured 10 months in French oak barrels. Light color (pinot-like) with fascinating aromas of fresh berries, rose petals, peppery spice, a hint of leather with a sandy mineral background. Grown in the Ribeiro region, but not DO, labeled Viñedos de España. [$M] |
