Wine of the Week | Vermut Louis XIV [Fortified] 100% monastrell, 70% young vermouth, 30% 8 year old fortified monastrell wine nurtured together in 600 liter American oak "botas". Brownish/orange color aromas of nuts (almonds/walnuts), dried fruits (cranberry/apricot), gently spiced. Great on its own as an aperitif, also combines well with well-aged cheeses, chocolate and nuts. Serve chilled or on the rocks with a slice of lemon. [$M] |
