Wine of the Week | Kalifo 2020 [White] 100% very old vines verdejo (100+ years old) grown organically in Nieva, Segovia. The grapes are fermented in oak barrels, minimal intervention, resting less than 12 months before bottling. Fruit (apricot/peach), dry flowers, upland herbs and a hint of almonds. No DO here, bottled as "Castilla y León". No mention of vintage on the label, apparently it's 2020. [$M] |
