Wine of the Week | Rodrejo 2001 [Rosé] In recent years, wines from Jumilla in southeastern Spain have been getting a fair amount of press; and a taste of this bright, fresh, fruity rosé shows why experts have long praised the potential of the local Monastrell [Mourvèdre] grape for both young and barrel-aged wines. Brilliant wine for a summer meal in the backyard. Bright strawberry pink color. Pure fruit nose with fresh strawberries & cherries. Crisp dry palate with good body for a rosé and loads of juicy red-berry fruit. Very good, excellent value. [$L] |
