Wine of the Week | Mestizaje Blanco 2021 [White] A blend: primarily merseguera with viognier, malvasía & xarel.lo. The Calvestra estate is 900 meters above sea level with mainly limestone/clay soils. The different grape varieties are fermented separately, rested 6 months on the lees in steel tanks before bottling. Clean & bright, peach/apricot, apple/quince with citrus overtones (orange peel), fresh herbs (fennel/thyme) and a touch of stony minerals. [$L] |
