Wine of the Week | Cair Cuvée 2019 [Red] 85% tempranillo, 15% merlot grown at altitude (820-950 meters) on limestone/clay soils with some sand/gravel. Nurtured 10 months in oak barrels (60% French, 40% American), 6 months in the bottle cellar before release. Blueberry/blackberry & raspberry, spice (nutmeg/cinnamon) and a hint of smoke. A fine example of a well made Ribera, no oak soup here. [$M] |
