Wine of the Week | Sin Blanca 2017 [Red] 80% juan garcía with a mix of brunal, bastardillo & rufete grapes from very old vines (80-120 years) grown on slate soils in small plots. Nurtured in French oak barrels & casks for about 6 months. Blackberry & blueberry with wild herbs (thyme/rosemary) and hint of stones/gravel. Arribes del Duero is unique terrain along the Duero River, close to the border with Portugal. Spectacular landscapes and some very interesting wines. [$M] |
