Wine of the Week | Bellmunt Red 2018 [Red] A blend of mainly garnacha grapes with some cariņena from the estate's younger vines (~25 years), grown on slate soils, nurtured 10 months in a mix of barrels & vats, then rested 12 months in bottle before release. Cherries & raspberries, rose petals, tea leaves, a hint of stones & smoke. A "Vi de Vila" (village wine, municipality of Bellmunt) from one of my favorite Priorat producers. A keeper. [$M] |
