Los Caireles Manzanilla [Fortified]

100% palomino fino, grown under flor for around 5 years in "soleras" in the heart of Sanlúcar de Barrameda.

An excellent example of manzanilla sherry: clean & fresh with seaside/seaweed salinity, a touch of dry flowers, almonds and orange blossoms.
An easy drinking dry sherry, just right with appetizers, cheese & nuts, but will work nicely with a wide range of dishes from shrimp & shellfish to spicy asian fare.

A new name for me and a pleasant surprise from this small family-run producer in Sanlúcar. Thanks to my friend Abraham García for the "introduction".
