Wine of the Week | Arzuaga Crianza 2018 [Red] 94% tempranillo, 6% cabernet sauvignon, pre-fermentation maceration, nurtured 16 months in 225 liter barrels: 70% French oak, 30% American oak. Deep dark cherry red color, elegant & complex nose: sweet ripe fruit (blueberry/blackberry), spice (vanilla/cinnamon), herbs (thyme) and a hint of cocoa/coffee. It may be "only a crianza", but a really excellent bottle of wine. [$M] |
