Wine of the Week | Mas Sinén Coster 2010 [Red] 55% garnacha, 45% cariñena, nurtured in French oak for 12 months. The grapes are organically grown on steep, slate covered slopes (known as "costers"), top quality Priorat terroir. Ripe berry fruit (blackberry/plum), toasted oak with a touch of spice (cinnamon/vanilla), and a stony/mineral background. A fine example of a well made, terroir-based Priorat red wine. Holding up very well after 10+ years; wish I had a few more bottles. [$M] |
