Wine of the Week | Fefiñanes III Año 2017 [White] 100% albariño from the Valle de Salnés sub-region, close to the Atlantic. Nurtured in steel tanks: 7 months with "bâtonnage" on the lees, and another 23 months "resting". Bottled in February 2020. Aromas of dry flowers & herbs (fennel), fruit (dried apricot & peach), citrus (lime) and honey/beeswax. Year after year among the top rated Spanish white wines. The 2017 is no exception. Drinking nicely now, will grow in the cellar for several more years. A wine to sip and enjoy. [$H] |
