Wine of the Week | Es Lo Que Hay Old Vines Garnacha 2019 [Red] 95% garnacha, 5% "other". A field blend from very old vines grown on slate & limestone soils in the upper reaches of Calatayud (Aragón). Open tank fermented with lengthy skin contact. Nurtured 15 months on the lees in Flextank eggs. Serious/complex stuff with ample berry fruit (blackberry, cherry, raspberry, plum), gravel/stones, mountain herbs and a touch of dry hay.
