Wine of the Week | Armas de Lanzós 2013 [White] 100% albariño, multiple stages of development: nurtured in tanks on the lees for 2 years, then in 500 liter oak barrels two more years before bottling in magnums August 2017. Albariño aromas predominate: apricot/peaches, dry grass & flowers, citrus... elegant & subtle. Apart from a hint of spice, there's no sign of the oak. A wine worth knowing. Worked a treat with our roasted Bresse chicken, but should pair well with an ample range of dishes. [$H] |
