Wine of the Week | Albariño de Fefiñanes III Año 2016 [White] 100% albariño, fermented in stainless steel tanks, nurtured 7 months on the lees (with bâtonnage), resting another 23 months in tanks before bottling in February 2019. Citrus, bay leaf, dried flowers/straw, honey ripe fruit (apricot/pear/apple), floral with a mineral/saline touch on the nose. Year after year makes my list of Spain's top white wines. This is pleasure in glass and great with food. We enjoyed it with this year's Thanksgiving turkey. [$H] |
