Wine of the Week | Dioro Baco Reserva Extra Brut [Sparkling] An excellent cava, made in Rioja. 100% chardonnay, free run juice, low temperature fermentation, 48 months on the lees before disgorging. Nice persistent bubbles. Apples & peaches, a hint of grape skins, bakery aromas, toasted almonds and a touch of citrus. Escudero has been making cavas since the 1950's. They also produce an extensive line of fine wines under the DOCa Rioja denomination. [$H] |
