R & G Tempranillo 2015 [Red]

Region: DOC Rioja

Tempranillo grapes from the Rioja Alavesa sub-region, aged 12 months in new American oak barrels. A joint venture between international wine consultant Michel Rolland and Spanish entrepreneur Javier Galarreta.

Cherries & blueberries, gently spiced (nutmeg/cardamom), clean/balanced with a touch of cigar box & a hint of leather.
Easy & fresh on the palate, retaining those fruit flavors with nicely integrated polished oak tannins. A serious wine and an excellent Rioja.

The Rolland & Galarreta initiative started in Rioja and has since produced wine in Rueda & Ribera del Duero.
