 Wine of the Week | R & G Tempranillo 2015 [Red] Tempranillo grapes from the Rioja Alavesa sub-region, aged 12 months in new American oak barrels. A joint venture between international wine consultant Michel Rolland and Spanish entrepreneur Javier Galarreta. Cherries & blueberries, gently spiced (nutmeg/cardamom), clean/balanced with a touch of cigar box & a hint of leather. The Rolland & Galarreta initiative started in Rioja and has since produced wine in Rueda & Ribera del Duero.
