Wine of the Week | Gran Reserva 890 2005 [Red] 95% tempranillo, 3% graciano, 2% mazuelo, aged 6 years in oak barrels - 199 barrels made the final cut. Bottled in March,2012. Remarkably young look about it, no obvious signs of age, bright & fresh on the nose with well ripened dark berry fruit, a hint of tobacco & leather, gently spiced (cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla) and dark chocolate. Opened this earlier in the week to celebrate my birthday. Wonderful wine that will cellar well for many years to come. [$H] |
