Wine of the Week | Pazo de Seoane Rosal 2019 [White] A classic Rías Baixas blend of local grapes (Rosal): 58% albariño, 15% caiño, 15% loureiro, 12% treixadura. Delightfully complex nose: peach, apricot, pear with citrus (lime); along with dry herbs & grass, flowers, bay leaf and pleasant minerality. Nice pale yellow color. Fresh and bracing palate with balanced acidity, smooth and mellow on the finish. Excellent. O Rosal is sub-region of Rías Baixas, in the southern part of the region, along the Miño River that separates Spain from Portugal. Here, a warm, sunny climate makes for well ripened grapes and smooth, rounded wines. [$M] |
