Wine of the Week | Finca Las Tablas 2016 [White] A single vineyard albariño from a hillside "finca" planted in 1976 on granite-based soils. Six months on the lees in French oak. Still seems quite young: pale straw color, lean & fresh with serious acidity, apricots, floral notes, stony minerality. Crisp, sharp, citrusy on the palate, stone fruit, good length. Excellent. Tasted it about a year ago, and again this week. It's changed very little, and the oak is nowhere to be seen. Serious stuff. [$M] |
