Wine of the Week | Lagar de Cervera 2019 [White] Made from 100% albariño grapes grown in the O Rosal sub-region of Rías Baixas in Galicia. The climate here is dryer, warmer, sunnier than the Salnés region along the Atlantic Ocean. The wine has just been released. Bright and fresh on the nose with citrus (lemon/lime) stone fruit (peach), flowers (honeysuckle) and an herbal note of thyme. Nice clean pale straw color. Palate is clean with fresh acidity, citrus, fruit and again a hint of thyme. Nice on its own or on the table with fish, shellfish or even grilled chicken. Lagar de Fornelos is part of the La Rioja Alta group. [$M] |
