Wine of the Week | Coma d'en Pou 2010 [Red] This wine has long been one of my favorites and this 2010 version is especially good. A blend of Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot, aged 14 months in French oak. A potent, yet balanced wine; good on its own or with a hearty meal. Medium dark red color, bright & clean. Nice aromatics: ripe berry fruit and dry herb/brushy spice with an underlying floral scent (violets). A hearty, yet balanced palate with nicely integrated oak and not at all "hot", despite the 15% ABV. Excellent. [$M] |
