Wine of the Week | Fransola 2000 [White] Desite its huge size, the Miguel Torres winery consistently produces some of the DO Penedès region's best wines, and this is no exception. Made from Parellada and Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown on the Fransola estate, this crisp flavorful white wine will go well with most fish or shellfish. Bright golden straw color. The nose is well defined with a smokey mineral component blended with fresh tropical fruit aromas [pineapple/grapefruit]. The palate's rich, thick and full of flavor with nicely integrated acidity and superb length. Very good. [$M] |
