Wine of the Week | Albariño de Fefiñanes 2012 [White] 100% Albariño from the Salnés sub-region of Rías Baixas. It always shows well, and despite being an awkward vintage in the region, this 2012 is no exception. Great with fish & shellfish. Excellent. Pale straw color, clean & bright. Pears, honeysuckle, tarragon & honeycomb on the nose. Elegant and clean flavors repeat the sensations on the nose, perhaps not as concentrated as the 2011, but very good nonetheless. A few months in bottle has added richness and complexity. Worth the wait. Nice long finish, crisp & fresh. [$M] |
