Wine of the Week | Valmiñor Albariño 2011 [White] When it comes to a seafood wine, there's nothing better that a good Albariño like this one. 100% Albarino grapes from the Atlantic coast of northwestern Spain. Valmiñor 2011 has shown well in the wine media, and it's easy to see why. Crisp, fresh, and very good. Clean bright straw color with a tinge of green. Apricots, pears and mango fruit aromas, honeysuckle and a nice mineral/citrusy touch on the nose. On the palate it's crisp and fresh, with fresh grapefruit and rich tropical fruit (mango). Pick up a lobster and enjoy! [$M] |
