Wine of the Week | Palacio de Bornos Verdejo 2011 [White] Year after year, Palacio de Bornos delivers a first rate Verdejo. The 2011 vintage is no exception, an excellent example of what the Verdejo grape can provide. A wine full of flavor and an excellent companion to a wide range of dishes. Nice pale straw color. Great nose with upfront citrus (grapefruit/orange) and ripe fruit (mango/apricot), grassy spice (lemongrass/thyme). and orange zest. On the palate it's fresh and bright, mirroring the aromatics with good body and length. Great all around wine, with or without food. [$M] |
