Wine of the Week | Lagar de Cervera 2011 [White] This is a very good example of Albariño, a fine white grape variety native to northwest Spain. A great companion to fish and shellfish, this style is a standard in the country's best seafood restaurants. Pale straw color, sparkling bright with a touch of green. On the palate it's crisp and fresh with lemon/lime acidity, minerals and fruit (quince/mango). Good length, steely acidity. Very good. [$M] |
