Wine of the Week | Privat Laietá 2000 [Sparkling] As the holiday seaon's just around the corner, it's a good time to think bubbly. Privat Laeitá is not cheap as cavas go, but this Chardonnay-based sparkler is just right for those special Christmas and New Year festivities. Pale golden straw color with a greenish tint and plenty of fine, persistent bubbles. Green apple and dry grass aromas over a pleasant yeasty background. Fresh and creamy on the palate with crisp acidity and good fruit. An excellent cava. [$M] |
