Wine of the Week | Martinet Bru 1999 [Red] Year after year, Martinet Bru remains one of the best values from the fashionable DO Priorat. Made from a mix of Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha, Merlot and Syrah, with a bit of barrel age. A full bodied red, great with a hearty beef stew. Deep, dark red color showing a hint of brick at the edge. Aromas of well ripened red berry fruit, cloves/spice and a hint of oak. Full rich palate shows the same plummy, ripe fruit, vanilla/spice, with good balance & length. [$M] |
