Wine of the Week | Tres Ojos Garnacha 2008 [Red] In the past few years, a number of excellent Garnacha-based reds have come out of the Calatayud region; and this unoaked Tres Ojos is no exception. Fresh and bright with lots of flavor - and a great value as well. Bright cherry red color with red berry fruit (strawberry/raspberry) and spice (black pepper/thyme) on the nose. Fresh and fruity on the palate with a bit of tannic "bite" on the finish. Good summer barbeque quaff. [$L] |
