  • Vineyards: 7,064 hectares (17,448 acres)

Authorized Grape Varieties

  • Whites: palomino de jerez, palomino fino (listán), moscatel, and Pedro Ximénez.

Typical wines:

  • Manzanilla - very dry sherry, aged in the port city of Sanlúcar
  • Fino - dry sherry
  • Amontillado - premium aged sherry
  • Oloroso - aged sherry
  • Palo Cortado - a very special, aged sherry (very little is produced)
  • Pedro Ximenez - sweet sherry
  • Cream - sweet sherry, typically a blend of Oloroso with an addition of sweet Pedro Ximénez
